46 For 46: Walking 46 Hours Straight
Share
Every week in Australia, 46 men take their own lives. That’s 46 fathers, brothers, sons, and mates... gone before their time.
We’re walking 46 hours straight to represent each and every one of them. The treadmill won’t stop. Neither will we.
This challenge is a tag-team effort between two blokes who’ve seen firsthand what happens when men don’t speak up, reach out, or find a way to help themselves into a better future.
DONATE TO THE CAUSE
When & Where
The challenge is going down at Better Bloke HQ in Burleigh, QLD, on November 7th-9th, giving the belt of a treadmill a work out (don't worry, we'll have a spare in case the machine can't keep up). Everyone’s welcome to come down, show support, and be part of it:
- Friday 7th Nov from 3pm: Kickoff BBQ + cold drinks (runs till late)
- Sunday 9th Nov from midday: Wrap-up BBQ and final hours of the challenge. The treadmill stops at 2pm.
It’s free, family/kid/pet friendly. We’ll have snacks and soft drinks on the house!
Where The Funds Go
All money raised supports the Better Bloke Project, a non-for-profit charity:
- Expand the Mental Health First Responder Program, by training more repsonders to catch crisis signs earlier than anyone else.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks that bring relatable mental health conversations to workplaces where they actually make sense & drive impact.
The target is set at $14 566, which funds the training of 46 mental health first responders who are real blokes having conversations on the front lines with the men who need it most.
If you believe in what we’re doing, throw in what you can... or just come down, grab a snag, and show your support because 46 is too many.
